Happy Tuesday everyone! I fully intended to have this blog post up in the end of August, but grad school started and it hit hard! I had to hit the ground running and readjust to the student lifestyle. After being out for so long, I was excited to be starting back up, but I forgot about the time demands of taking a full course load. Continue reading “Back to School: Grad School Edition”
It’s kind of funny. You always hear about spring cleaning; you sometimes hear about winter cleaning (after New Years) or fall cleaning (before holiday decorating begins), but what about summer cleaning? Is it just me or does it kind of get skipped over. Continue reading “Thoughts on Spring… [I mean] Summer Cleaning”
Hey everyone! I’m yet another day late posting this due to my wisdom teeth surgery recovery. I finally am feeling more normal and can almost eat normal food again. It is a very rainy Tuesday here in Chicagoland, but I’m not here to talk about that today. Today, I’m rounding up all the sites to see on your next trip to New York City. This list is pretty extensive however we managed to do it all in a day. So this is the perfect itinerary for any length of stay in the Big Apple. Continue reading “NYC in 1 Day Travel Guide”
It’s been a while since I’ve done a monthly round up. This one covers all of May through July. Man do these months go fast or what?! It looks like I’ve got a lot of movie recommendations for y’all this month! Enjoy!! Continue reading “We’re Over Halfway Through 2018?! July’s Round Up of Favorites!”
I wanted to take some time today to talk about my personal summer fitness journey. We had a chilly spring this year. In trying to get healthier, I started an awesome app for running, walking, and anything in between. I braved the snowy paths and rainy weather along the beautiful Michigan trails. I couldn’t wait for summer to walk more often. AND THEN, summer came and it was close to 100 degrees with around 90% humidity.
So my dilemma was this: how can I get healthier when it’s absolutely entirely too hot to work out outside? Now I’m no gym rat. I don’t really have a good relationship with the gym ever since early school years. As much as I would love to be able to run, it is something that I have never been good at. I’d come to terms with that until I found this app. Continue reading “Summer Fitness Journey”
I never would have expected to be going to such an amazing beach in New York. When I think of New York, I mostly think of the city and how most tv shows portray the area to be. I never expected to see so much greenery and natural landscapes.
Hey everyone! Can you believe July is more than halfway over already? I cannot even believe how fast this year is flying by, it’s absolutely insane.
But anyway, I wanted to share 12 things left on my summer bucket list. Continue reading “12 Things to Add to Your Late Summer Bucket List”
As y’all know now, I started a new job. In honor of that, I wanted to share some inspiration with you for a week’s worth of outfits that are work appropriate.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the importance of prioritizing your mental health. As a psychology student, that’s really not that unusual. I think it’s come up a lot in my mind because I see so many people coming to the behavioral health hospital to get professional help. Yes there are some who don’t really want to be there, but there are others who know that they need to be there so they come willingly to get help to be able to better function.
