It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas [Part 1]

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and did some Christmas decorating in addition to eating lots of yummy food and spending time with family and friends.

I wanted to share some Christmas decorating ideas that I have in my home!

This is our living room Christmas Tree.  It’s really simple with the red and gold ornaments as well as the homemade cinnamon applesauce cookie cutter ornaments that smell amazing.

We recovered our futon with a grey blanket paired with the joy and white pillows.  We also have fun winter coasters and a basket filled with cinnamon pinecones and mini ornaments that match the tree ones!

We hung our stockings on the JOY stocking holders on the television stands and have some poinsettias and mini trees on some of the shelves.

We filled this large vase with Christmas lights and the smaller bowl with candy canes.  It’s a simple touch of Christmas in an otherwise dark corner.

Our dining room has a greenery centerpiece that also matches the tree and basket.  It really ties the rooms together and the lights around the window add an extra special touch!

I found these simple Christmas towels in the dollar section at Target the other day!  I love that they’re useful and add an extra touch of holiday magic to the kitchen!

We hung this believe sign in our kitchen area and got a small Frozen chocolate Advent calendar to countdown to Christmas!

To finish up this first Christmas post, I wanted to share our second tree!  We threw a couple strands of lights and a few ornaments on this tree to put on our closed in porch so that our tree will be visible from the road.  It was a great way to bring the holidays to the street without losing our main tree in the living room!

I’m so glad we are officially in the Christmas season!  I have to ask, have you decorated yet?  What’s your favorite thing of the Christmas season?  Let me know in the comments below!
