I intended to post this on Friday, but I got caught up in holiday festivities.  I kicked off December by going to see the Nutcracker ballet with some friends.  Because of this, I wanted to share some Nutcracker themed things with y’all today!

I figured I would start by offering you the option to listen to the Nutcracker music on Spotify right here.

Now that you’ve got your music playing, I’ve compiled some Nutcracker themed treats, crafts, drinks, and more here on this Pinterest board.  Be sure to check it out!

My friends and I saw the Nutcracker at the Grand Rapids ballet.  The dancers were incredibly talented and I would highly recommend seeing them if you are anywhere near the Grand Rapids area.

There was a live orchestra in the pit and we had perfect seats in the center of the fourth row of the mezzanine.  In this version, Herr Drosselmeyer played a larger role than I’ve seen in past interpretations, but I really enjoyed their production.

I hope you all have had a wonderful start to your December!  I brought some peppermint tea in my super cozy “baby it’s cold outside” mug for the drive.  For me, peppermint tea and the Nutcracker Suite signifies a perfect start to the Christmas season!!

How did you kick off December?  Are you someone who sees the Nutcracker every year?

PS. If you aren’t a big fan of the Nutcracker or just appreciate silly songs, be sure to check out Nutcracker by Straight No Chaser.
